Britain made Tilapia

Generally, tilapia is produced in Asia and Saouth & Central America. Now, tilapia is produced in UK throughout  4 farm and ready for sales Tesco Hipermarkets.               

British Tilapia is produced with high standards at Yorkshire and Lincolnshire farms by The Fish Company.               

Hamis Bichan from The Fish Company said “Although tilapia grows up in Asia and South Central America, it is the first time fresh tilapia is being produced in UK.                  

“There is a sustainably and ethically growing market for whitefish, we can help to develop. All our products are %100 British production and we do not use any hormone additives. Growing stock quality is traceable, sustainable and GM free.”  said Bichan.

The using feed which is supplied by Skretting is trustable, and customers have all reports about all details of raw material. As a result of this, customers can have their tilapia after 24-36 hours from harvest.

The Fish Company has built their recirculation system in order to ensure the welfare of the fish and further provided the hiqh quality production protocols.

The annually production of The Fish Company is 700 metric tones and are supplying gutted tilapia to fish markets, Tesco and M&J Seafood stores.
